Cultural Branding: Connecting Regions and Traditions

Cultural Branding: Connecting Regions and Traditions

At VisionStyle YOU, our core concept is:

“Connecting and expanding People, Products, Hearts, and Culture.”

Through Cultural Branding, we aim to:

  • Connect industries and traditional cultures beyond regional and prefectural boundaries
  • Share Japanese culture and traditions through the beauty of pattern culture

We move forward together with this vision.

Bringing Local Traditions, Culture, and Stories to the World

In 1878, at the Paris World Exposition,
European audiences encountered Japanese crafts and culture for the first time.

They were instantly captivated,
sparking a movement known as Japonisme.

This influence can even be seen today in global brands such as Louis Vuitton.

  • The “Monogram” pattern was inspired by Japanese family crests (kamon)
  • The “Damier” pattern was influenced by the traditional Ichimatsu design

Japanese pattern culture is therefore not only beautiful,
but also holds a universal appeal that resonates across the world.

I hope to share both the beauty and the meaning behind these patterns,
and to encourage a deeper understanding of Japanese design
by integrating it into everyday life.

At the same time,
I believe it is important to continue cherishing
this remarkable cultural heritage—
a culture that Japan can proudly share with the world.
