September 15–29, 2023
The Hokusai Arrangement Art Exhibition was held at Nagisa Gallery (inside Garden Café Tokisora) in Setagaya.
With Hokusai as the theme, I created two Ukiyo-e Fortune Art pieces based on my concept of
“Ukiyo-e × Auspicious Patterns × Sota”:
- Fine Wind, Clear Morning (Red Fuji)
- The Great Wave off Kanagawa
On the 16th, an opening garden party was held.
While enjoying delicious food, we were treated to a performance by world champion shakuhachi player Takuya Iwata, as well as a demonstration screening of a digital film on Katsushika Hokusai—an experience that delighted all five senses.
The gallery is located in an upscale residential area and is frequented by many locals. The café is also known for its excellent and popular lunch offerings.
If you plan to visit the café, a reservation is required. Please contact Garden Café Tokisora in advance to book your visit.
Closed: Sundays, Mondays, and public holidays

This experience has inspired new ideas, and I’m excited to start working on my next piece.
