Visit to “Kominka Wakana”

September 20, 2023 (Wednesday)

I had the pleasure of visiting “Kominka Wakana,” owned by Mr. Yoshihiro Wakana, who runs Wakana Landscaping in Chiba Prefecture.

Through his landscaping business, Mr. Wakana has expanded his work not only within Japan but also internationally. He has even been involved in landscape design for the Mikazuki Hotel in Da Nang, Vietnam.

I was introduced to him through my visit to Da Nang in July, which led to this wonderful connection.

Our conversation about his international projects was incredibly inspiring. I can already see exciting possibilities for future collaborations that align with my own work in Japanese culture—especially looking ahead to next year.

I’m truly looking forward to what’s to come.

By the way, “Kominka Wakana” can also be used as a rental space, event venue, and coworking space.

Located in the outskirts of Chiba City, it features a beautiful karesansui (dry landscape) Japanese garden, offering a peaceful, nature-filled environment—perfect for those who want to work in a calm and refreshing setting.

Mr. Wakana, thank you very much.
