1st Japan Traditional Culture Exchange Event in Da Nang – Day 2
The 1st Japan Traditional Culture Exchange Event in Da Nang, held at Da Nang Mikazuki Resort, successfully concluded its second day with the support of many people and countless smiles.
We received wonderful feedback from both visitors and the hotel, praising the exhibitions and stage performances—and we are delighted to share that the next event has already been confirmed!

My heartfelt thanks go to everyone involved—our guests, hotel staff, local Vietnamese team, volunteers, and especially the core members who helped build this event from the ground up: Mr. Yoshihiro Wakana and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu.
In July 2023, I participated in a government event commemorating the 50th anniversary of Japan–Vietnam diplomatic relations. Through that opportunity, I was introduced to Mr. Wakana, who had produced a karesansui (Zen garden) at the Da Nang Mikazuki Hotel.
It was during that time that I shared my vision:
“I want to create an event that shares Japanese culture with the world.”
From there, together with Mr. Wakana, we launched the 1st Japan Traditional Culture Exchange Event in Da Nang, later joined by Mr. Vu as a key local partner. Over the following six months, we worked closely with them and the hotel team to prepare for the event.
On the Japan side, I was responsible for participant recruitment, creating overview materials, planning the event content, coordinating schedules, building the Japanese website, developing programs and scripts, and managing exhibitor coordination. Before I knew it, the event day had arrived.
While I had experience organizing events in Japan, this was my first international project. Until the moment it began, I couldn’t predict how everything would unfold.
As expected, there were unexpected challenges—and even some difficult situations that caused concern until the very end. However, thanks to Mr. Vu’s flexible and thoughtful support, we were able to navigate through them.
Our MC, Minh de Thuong, brought wonderful energy to the event, while the local staff and volunteers supported us wholeheartedly.
I’m sure the exhibitors also had their concerns about joining a first-time international event, and I am deeply grateful that they took that step forward.
Being surrounded by so many smiles and heartfelt connections made this an incredibly meaningful and rewarding experience.
Thank you very much to everyone who made this event possible.
